Abstract
Based on the longitudinal survey RLMS-HSE 1994–2021 data, this paper studies factors related to marital duration using Cox regression. Results demonstrate that marriages in which spouses have different income levels are longer lasting, while differences in educational levels have no significant impact on marital duration. Testing for robustness to sample changes indicated that the findings regarding the significance of income differences hold only for couples without children.
